Free SF/F Books Online From Baen
As a fan of e-books (I use PalmReader and have been known to convert Project Gutenburg books by hand to PML format), I was delighted to find this. Via ResearchBuzz.
Last year I was complaining about the fact that I didn't have any fiction to read and a friend of mine recommended the Belisarius series by David Drake and Eric Flint. This started me off on an entire alternative history kick including Flint's 1632, Drake and Flint's 1633, and lots and lots by Harry Turtledove (Ruled Britannia was awesome!) So when I found the collection of free Baen books online ( http://www.baen.com/library/ ) I was thrilled to find a bunch of Drake/Flint books available .. but alas, no Turtledove.
There are actually many authors here, which you'll see when you use the authors link on the left of the main page. They're listed from Aaron Allston to K. D. Wentworth, and include Andre Norton, Mercedes Lackey, and Larry Niven. Click on an author and you'll get a list of their available books. If you're looking for their entire catalog prepare to be disappointed; usually it's just a few books for each author. Each book is available in several flavors, including HTML, MS Reader, Palm, Rocket, and Rich Text Format. The site points toward some information on each kind of reader software.
