Libraries: How they stack up

OCLC has issued a report that provides a snapshot of the economic impact of libraries. The report contains some interesting comparisons of library economics and activities to other sectors, professions and destinations in the worldwide economy. Who knew that we ship more than FedEx? And that there are more libarians in the world than the population of North Dakota?
